Many areas of remnant native vegetation have been denuded and their ecological value degraded. Vegetation clearing, the proliferation of introduced flora and fauna species, and changes to land use have all been responsible for lessening the integrity and ecosystem function of natural areas. The regeneration process is a means of restoring the balance, and Ecosure can provide this service for a wide variety of clients.

In all of Ecosure’s regeneration projects, the overarching aim is to provide a ‘head start’ to natural restoration processes. Ecosure has had considerable experience and varying levels of involvement in the regeneration process, from on-site surveys and weed-removal work to the compilation of detailed vegetation management plans.

These management plans enable goals to be set, threats to be identified, and solutions to be developed. A good management plan will also incorporate measures which allow the success of the regeneration project to be monitored and evaluated.
